I beleive FGlenF attempted to type 'Rango' but was shakng with horror at the thought of a non-PD movie on the AI. Does any one know if that movie is not PD? I will need to see at least two fabricated proofs and one very official looking reference.

Obviously, this site is not the AI; it is the IA.

Obviously, this site is for public domain movies only. For copyrighted movies, go somewhere else.

Only an idiot would assume that the 2011 film Rango is public domain.

No one has to prove that it is copyrighted; someone would have to prove that it is public domain before it could be allowed here.

Yep I agree. It's impossible for anything past 1989 to be in the public domain. There's a lot of copyrighted crap getting posted here. That crap all needs to go.

Actually "The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public." Ia don't see anything in the mission statement about PD or any other restrickion.
I also don't see a lot of non-Islamic material here. Is there no normal folks content available for archiving?I do like the recent educational stuff!

On the upload page IA States:

"Share your Files
Please contribute books, audio, and video files that you have the right to share.
The Internet Archive, a non-profit library, will provide free storage and access to them.
(We reserve the right to remove any submitted material.)"

This is further explained in the FAQs:

"Can I upload this movie?

You may upload movies that you own the copyright to, or that are in the public domain."

Hey, I was away on business, did anything useful happen?

I'll stand by my statement about PD questions:
If there is a valid copyright claim, the CR holder will file a notice of violation and the file is quickly removed by the administrators of the site. Anything else is quesswork by people with many reasons for their input.

Some of you post wonderful content, thank you. Some of you like to bully, ehh. Meanwhile I have found the name 'Critikal' is a band that creates content here. I am not them so so-long to this name. I do not post using the name I upload with, I get upset by bad reviews. So look for the new user "CrankyFace" or something similar to appear soon.
And please feel free to critise my spellin.

Quite a week-end for you here Critikal.

First this non-sense, (his post is enough reading, but carry on if you wish.)

And then there is this gem,

>Ia don't see anything in the mission statement about PD or any other restrickion.

How long have been on this site, lurking or otherwise? There is a huge variety of media here. I would even think, 'normal folks content', is robustly represented. Lying and clueless? Or trolling?
